After the cold of January and February back where I grew up in Minnesota, there’s usually a brief interlude of warmer weather in March which lulls you into thinking spring has sprung; however, the wise know it as “fool’s spring” because there’s usually one more snow storm ahead…sometimes even as late as May.
In comparison, The Netherlands is wonderfully temperate; however, there remains a bit of retrograde as winter puts up one last stand before the fullness of spring will arrive in full force.
I’m also starting to listen to some Dutch songs, sharing ones I think are enjoyable even if you don’t know the words. In this case, it’s a little ditty that translates to “It is always spring (for the dental hygienist)” which goes on to be exactly as silly as you’d expect.
