Musical Theme: Unlearning is harder
My first novel, CALLED, begins with the seemingly ordinary Clementine Jones receiving a cryptic message from her long-lost father that proceeds to upend her reality entirely. As she begins to follow the clues he left behind, she finds herself on a dangerous quest for the truth, one that threatens everyone and everything she has ever known. Listen to that playlist here!
In the second installment, TAUGHT, Clementine manages to escape the confines of the Conglomerate and faces an unsettling new world, unsure of whom to trust. As she unravels long-buried deceptions, she confronts the harsh realization that history is more than a record—it’s a force that shapes the future. And those who fail to see the past clearly risk being swept away by the avalanche that created it.
Coincidentally, both books are on sale for 1.99 for the whole of May!

Behind the Music
When I arrange songs into a playlist, I’m exploring a specific theme—in this case, the world of TAUGHT—but I also use a narrative structure. Mirroring the highs and lows of the story, I use tracks 1, 13, and 25 as the respective overture, entr’acte, and curtain call to steal a bit of musical theatre lingo. While crafted to play from beginning to end, I also, naturally, respect the wisdom of the shuffle.
