The Beekeepers Question by Christina Baldwin is the story of her family pre-WWII… your grandmothers story is eerily similar.

Loved everything about this post💖

That feeling of being lost in time or place seems to accompany every major life change! I remember someone asking Lucia what she was doing with her time shortly after she retired and she reportedly replied, "Well, I spend a lot it trying to figure out what day it is!" Yeah. I have to admit that I use my phone to check on that more than I use it for anything else. And for the first few months after my last move (~ 1 mile from my last place) I would wake up wondering when I was going back to Denver and was I driving or flying to get there. Bizarre. God, I want a stroopwafel!

Stroopwafels are the only place the spreadable Gouda would be unwelcome.

It is such a funny thing, the way that time squirrels it’s ways into our minds! I am enjoying not fighting the impulse to just live according to my needs rather than “by the clock” but it is a daily struggle!
