It's the Dutch and their bad train phone habits yet again! 😂

I find stories related to bureaucracy strangely compelling, probably because I can relate. I've had quite the challenge navigating the Austrian health system - it was much harder to find a doctor here in Vienna, it took ages to find anyone accepting new patients under the public health plan. And then once I did, it's a conveyor belt of people coming in and going and it was so rushed. 'Next!'

I once got a referral for a specialist, which you have to use within 30 days but it's so hard to make an appointment and then when you do, it's often a 2-3 month wait and the first time this happened, when I showed up they said 'nope, sorry, it's past the 1 month timeframe!' Now if/when I get referrals I don't bother to make appointments.

And now our health insurance has expired, so fingers crossed I don't get sick until I can afford to get it again!

Life in Europe does have its challenges, but it's generally worth it, right?

Another brilliantly written story! 🤌🏼

Sounds like you guys are getting nestled in nicely.

The Bulldog and TK Maxx - I know these places all too well. 😆
